The majority of the East Asian population holds to atheistic belief or Buddhism. However, there has been overwhelming response to the Gospel in and revival is happening in an unprecedented way. Because East Asia is so large, there are still many places and people that have had little or no access to the Gospel message and have never heard the name of Jesus. The cities in East Asia are highly urban and often are filled with university students that have a good grasp of the English language. East Asian culture is warmly hospitable to foreigners and students on this trip can expect to easily make friends and experience the culture.

This trip would be open to Doxa members that have a desire to share the Gospel cross-culturally. A large city in East Asia with over 1.5 million university students is one of our strategic partnerships globally. This trip will be over Christmas, so the main activities that you will be doing is to host Christmas parties for students. In these parties you’ll get to tell about the American holiday traditions associated with Christmas, but more importantly have the opportunity to share the Christmas story. These parties are a blast and a great opportunity to share the Gospel to students. East Asian students are very interested in American traditions and are open to hearing the Gospel message in this season.

The majority of your time will be spent meeting new people, relationally sharing your faith, and enjoying the country of East Asia. The trip will be very spontaneous and go with the flow.
