What do we do in Connection Groups?

We have six marks of a disciple at Doxa that shape how we see the rhythms of a Connection Group: Worshiper, Becomer, Investor, Lover, Inviter, Neighbor.

We practice rhythms in three directions:

Up - Bible - We make understanding and applying God’s Word the regular diet of Connection Groups. Without God’s Word, this is just another social club. This helps us practice being Worshipers and Becomers.

In - Bread - We eat a meal together every week at group. This is a great time to get to know each other’s lives, stories, and burdens. This helps us practice being Investors and Lovers.

Out - Outs - We regularly plan times for the group to invite non-Christians in our lives to experience Gospel community before they hear Gospel proclamation. This helps us practice being Inviters and Neighbors.

What’s the process of getting into a group?

If you’d like help getting into a connection group, first fill out the form below.
You’ll be emailed by someone from the Connection Groups team to set up lunch or coffee. We’d love to meet you, hear more about your life, faith background, what you’re looking for in a group, and give you a chance to talk through what groups look like at Doxa.

From there, the Connection Groups team meets weekly to help place people based on availability, location, and fit.

Once we find a group that may be a fit, we’ll pass your information along to those group leaders to connect with you.
